VERMILION COUNTY, IL- Newsbug.infowrites that a man was killed in a car accident that took place at around 7:45 in the morning on Friday, December 14, 2018. The victim was identified as 47-year-old James D. Callahan of Hoopeston.*
Callahan was operating a 2017 Ford and driving southbound on Route 1 when he crossed into the northbound lane and hit an oncoming 2013 Dodge. Police did not release the name of the man driving the Dodge.
Callahan’s vehicle overturned and landed in a ditch where it then caught fire. The Dodge remained on the roadway. The man driving the Dodge sustained injuries in the collision and was transported to a nearby hospital for treatment.
