URBANA – According to news-gazette.com, Mr. and Mrs. John Jones of Villa Grove, Illinois were in killed in a tragic auto accident just west of Villa Grove. The car wreck occurred on Friday, Dec. 7, 2018 and the couple passed away at the Carle Foundation Hospital.
The Jones’ were heading to Newman in order to visit a friend in a nursing home. It is being reported that Mr. Jones was unable to see a “skid steer” that was removing mud off of the highway and Mr. Jones struck the skid steer from behind.
According to Douglas County Sheriff Joshua Blackwell, the skid steer operator works for Stark Excavation.
